


I'm being ridiculous, but so is Nintendo. Or really, why even bother making games at all when people can probably watch any stage or level on YouTube if they want to? In fact, why stop there? Let's just remove endings from games entirely since you can look those up online too. If every company who had cutscenes from their game uploaded onto the internet decided to not bother with them at all, we wouldn't have any cutscenes. I agree that it's rather stupid to watch cutscenes on YouTube instead of playing the game and earning them yourself, but that's no reason for this "take my toys and go home" philosophy that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Sakurai is upset that people were uploading reward-based cutscenes onto the internet, so his solution was to cut story mode from the game entirely. Though there isn't a story the way there was in Brawl, Sakurai says there is a mode that will "act as a separate mode from the standard versus play," though there's no word on what exactly that means.
