Could CK2 simulate the events of the Silmarillion, The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings? Hardly, all of it would be chains upon chains of events in order to sort of outmaneuvre the game logic. LotR is not about dynastic politics and realistic medieval social dynamics, it is about more high-fantasy concepts and things that are not at the core (or even periphery) of CK2's core gameplay mechanics. So don't let us discourage you.Īs for the debate: I agree with the majority in this thread. Yes, many people are sceptical (myself included) as long as it's just an idea, but even if you don't finish the mod, you will learn a lot about modding CK2 and in any case produce something worthwhile.

First off: You have an idea, you know what you want to see in the game - go ahead, start experimenting and building it.
